Pandemic Flu
Medical consensus is that the H1N1 swine flu will return to the US this fall as a pandemic...the first pandemic this country has had since the Hong Kong Flu of 1968...and with little immunity in the population, the number of cases could be in the millions, with fatalities in the tens of thousands. If the virus evolves into a more virulent form, as past pandemics have done, the numbers would be much higher.
